Iowa Host Homes provides Host Home services and Supported Community Living (SCL) for adults with intellectual disabilities across Benton, Linn, and Johnson counties in Eastern Iowa. Our program is designed for individuals ages 21+ who are funded through the Iowa Intellectual Disability Waiver, offering a safe, family-style home where independence and connection can thrive.
What Are Host Home Services?
Host Home services offer a unique alternative to traditional care settings by placing individuals in a private home with a carefully matched Host Home provider. This model creates a stable, supportive environment where individuals receive personalized care while becoming active members of their community.
Through Supported Community Living (SCL), each individual receives support based on their Individual Service Plan (ISP)—ensuring care is tailored to their goals, preferences, and needs.
Who We Serve
Iowa Host Homes supports:
